AustinVoter com Surveys Austin Candidates Makes Endorsements

Austin Mayor candidates. Each candidate was asked of his or her postion on the
Austin City Charter propositions, single member districts, and a Taxpayer

AustinVoter.com (www.austinvoter.com) Survey\'s Candidates

AustinVoter.com surveyed each of the Austin City Council and Austin Mayor
candidates. Each candidate was asked of his or her position on the Austin City
Charter propositions, single member districts, and a Taxpayer protections Act for
the City of Austin. Based on these answers, AustinVoter.com issued its endorsements.

AustinVoter.com makes the following recommendations with regards to the Austin City
Charter propositions

Ausitn City Council Place 2- Wes Benedict (with our strongest endorsement)
Austin City Councel Place 5-No endorsement
Austin City Council Plance 6- Sheryl Cole

AustinVoter.com sent each candidate a survey of issues on 4/27/06 via e-mail.

Each Candidate was asked:

1. Their position on each charter proposition.

2. Do they support single member districts for Austin City Council?

3. Do they support requiring voter approval before the city can increase total
revenue (i.e. taxes and fees) more than the combined rates of increase of inflation
and population?
