Employment and Education Background checks on rise

specialized area of background checks is rising, employment and
education verifications.

The Mancini Group has seen a significant rise in employment,education and worker\'s
comp verifications due to an increase in falsification on resumes. \"We are currently
seeing that 6 in 10 resumes have falsified information on it,\" stated Simpson,
President. \"Most of our clients are doing a more in-depth check on prospective
employees.\"

Most of the mid-size and smaller companies can no longer make a wrong decision when
hiring. We are weeding out individuals that are stretching
the truth or falsifying information which include: False Diplomas, Inaccurate
reasons for leaving previous employment, inflated salary history and exaggerated
former job responsibilities.

Also with the increase of Workers Compensation insurance more employers are making a
larger investment in seeking workers comp verifications for prospective employees as
well.

Alot of smaller employers in the past would hire the first applicant but all of that
has changed.
Now they are seeking background checks including employment, education and workers
comp searches.

We are highly recommending that HR departments
include employment and education verification, when we actually contact the former
employer and educational institutions with a list of questions
about the prospective employee.
