WWPC taps into Vietnam gateway

Press Release Summary = Project cargo specialists the Worldwide Project Consortium
has recognised Vietnam’s membership of the World Trade Organisation with the
appointment of a new franchise member based in the southeast Asian nation.

Press Release Body = WWPC General Manager, Kevin Stephens, speaking from the
company’s headquarters in Queensland, Australia, said today (January 31, 2007)
Vantage Logistics Corp, with offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, was well placed
to support clients seeking to maximise opportunities arising from increased trade
and investment in the country.
Mr Stephens said Vietnam was an excellent logistics gateway to a free trade region
of more than 500 million people, and a bridge to a massive market of 1.3 billion
Chinese consumers.
“Increasing foreign investment along with the fact that 2007 is the first year
Vietnam enjoys World Trade Organisation membership, will stimulate many
opportunities to service the logistics needs of the region,” Mr Stephens said.
“The WWPC, with the assistance of Vantage Logistics, offers clients an effective and
efficient pathway to service one of the region’s fastest growing and resilient
economies.”
Mr Stephens said Vantage Logistics, led by General Manger Florence Lam, had
demonstrated experience successfully merging international market access with local
transport infrastructure.
Vantage Logistics will have two representatives attending the WWPC annual Partnering
for the Future conference in Cape Town, South Africa, from March 29-30, 2007, that
has attracted nearly 50 companies from around the world.
