Press Release Body = For Immediate Release April 9, 2007: Boyd III has been invited to workout at Cleveland Browns Camp on 4/14/2007!
It\'s great news for Boyd who is a Cleveland, Ohio native. They couldn\'t pick a better guy. He graduated from The University of Illinois with a BS in Molecular Cellular Biology and was Rhodes Scholar Candidate in 2006. He will graduate again in May, 2007 (Next month)with honors from the University of Illinois Masters Degree Program of Educational Policies Studies. .
Arthur has plans to offer his services as a volunteer at a local No Kill Animal Shelter to help provide exercise for the animals who are often cooped up most of the day. He loves critters too.
He’s a good student who transfers the same dedication, hard work and passion to football. A defensive lineman Boyd’s speed and performance has been compared to Dwight Freeney and Alfonso Boone. Arthur was rated at a top and better performer than both.
In 2004 Donnie Tompson, former University of Illinois, Defensive line Coach stated: \"\"I have coached several 1st Round NFL Defensive Lineman at the University of North Carolina, among them Julius Peppers, Eukban, Greg Ellis, Russell Davis and others. Davis was my quickest lineman, Arthur is quicker than Davis. Arthur has stuff that even Julius Peppers doesn\'t have. He will go to the next level.\"
Off the field Arthur is a model citizens who has been engaging in community volunteer activities for several years. He is a strong community supporter. His most recent volunteer projects included the provision of Math and reading tutorials and Bible Study Classes for kids in his college community area. He was also chosen Church Youth Program Coordinator at the church he attends in his hometown
Boyd III can play all 4 lineman positions and is a dominant pass rusher who will be very hard to deal with on the field. He has all the components for a very fast, strong and tough opponent and an off field community leader.
Arthur\'s a sleeper now but lets hope the Browns give him a chance to become a world class football player. They could not make a better selection. The fans are going to love him!
