Press Release Body =

Presently, because of the high rate for health insurance and often-measly savings
for retirement, many seniors past the retirement age find it preferable to stay on
working on their jobs primarily for economic reasons. Last year in California,
people with the age range of 65 to 69 years old comprised 26.5 percent of the
employment force. According to the California Budget Project, this percentage is a
significant increase of 19.6 percent from statistics of employed retirees ten years
ago.

Los Angeles, California, May 28, 2007 – Other reasons why some retirees keep on
working because they still have the ability to work and still want to continue on
working. Usually, they delay their retirement for later and change to a job that is
less strenuous or they work part time elsewhere.

According to Victor Marshall, \"The fact is people are healthier, they are living
longer and, for some, they just don\'t want to stop working.\" Marshall is the
director for the Institute on Aging of the University of North Carolina.

Furthermore, Marshall declared that retirement does not mean automatically going to
the front porch, sitting and doing nothing. Some people simply like to stay quite
busy.

The Met Mature Market Institute reported in 2006 their survey findings that 72
percent of the people between 66 and 70 year olds chose to continue on working just
for the reason that they wanted to keep on being \"active and engaged.\"

Meanwhile, nearly half of them stipulated that they sought an opportunity to perform
\"meaningful work.\" Forty two percent of them kept on working because they enjoyed
the social interaction they are experiencing with others.

According to Marshall, many employers, mostly in retail and service industries, are
having realizations of the genuine value of older workers.

Moreover, Marshall said, \"There is a wealth of talent out there, and some companies
are tapping that talent. It\'s why when you go to a hardware store, the guy you look
for is not the college kid but the guy who looks like he probably owned his own
hardware store.\"

A president of a staffing agency, Denham Resources in Fresno, California, Kathy
Bray, has been consistently hiring older workers during the past years. She is
expecting to see many older workers applying in her agency as the U.S. population of
65 years old and above grows. By 2030, the increase of 65 years old and above
employees is projected to increase by 19.6 percent.

\"Things are changing. Older workers like the flexibility that part-time work gives
them, and our clients like the job that they do,\" Bray declared.
