Press Release Body = A new system to control the depth of diaphragms has been installed at Metflex who have introduced the Statistical Process Control (SPC) system for increased efficiency and quality control in gas metering.
Depth is the critical parameter when measuring the volume of gas from one side of the meter to another. The SPC analyses the variables that affect the reading, helping to eliminate some of these to give an improved depth result.
The output gives consistency in metering and a greater pass rate in tests. Steve Parry of Metflex said: \"We\'ve replaced our current SPC so we can identify all deviations such as machine numbers and fabrics, giving us even better control in efficient manufacturing.
\"The system will work for domestic and industrial gas metering to give the customer consistency in their meter results, although the SPC could be applied to any product, anything we measure,\" added Steve.
The SPC is one of the latest additions to Metflex\' drive in quality facilities at the plant.
