MySIPSwitch - Use multiple SIP accounts with 1 phone

Released on = July 16, 2007, 10:22 am

Press Release Author = Blueface Ltd

Industry = Telecommunications

Press Release Summary = The sipswitch is a free of charge & open source web
application which allows to use multiple SIP accounts on the same phone.

Press Release Body = MySIPSwitch is a new, non-commercial, VoIP tool

The sipswitch ( http:// www.mysipswitch.com ) is a free of charge & open source web
application which allows to use multiple SIP accounts on the same phone. To put it
simply it means that you can use the call plans of different VoIP companies (using
SIP) with one piece of hardware (IP phone, Softphone, combination of DECT phone +
ATA)!
It does the 3rd party SIP registration so you can receive all your calls on the
sipswitch account. On dial out, you can set prefixes to make your outgoing calls
with such or such provider.

An example will show better what this tool is all about:

Let\'s say that you have a SIP account with a US VoIP provider and with an Indian
VoIP provider. You can create, for free, an account with the SIP Switch, set it so
you can receive your calls for both accounts on your SIP Switch account. Then you
can set the SIP Switch dial plan so that you have to dial *1 in order to call with
the US provider and *2 in order to call with the other one. Note that you can set a
default VoIP provider as well, so you don\'t need to dial a prefix all the time.

This is very handy when it comes to take advantage of different VoIP providers offers.

There are other functions which allow real time call management from a web browser.
You can hold/resume, forward & transfer calls on the fly. That can be handy for all
work from home people who don\'t always have professional handset with these
functions inbuilt.

A new forum has been put into place, so you have any question or remark, they are
all welcome at: http://www.mysipswitch.com/forum/index.php
