Press Release Summary: A dedicated fundraiser has joined Round Table Children’s Wish and is urging local businesses to give support.
Press Release Body: Helen Jeffery, who previously worked for Forest Holme Hospice, has been appointed fundraising manager at Bournemouth-based RTCW.
She said: “I’ve always taken an interest in the charity and my dream of working with children was a major motivating factor for joining.
“With Christmas approaching and lots of poorly children wishing to visit Santa in Lapland, we need the support of local companies more than ever. If local businesses are interested in running fundraising events for us or in taking part in organised events we’d love to hear from them.
“It’s an exciting charity to work for and there’s always plenty happening – we recently had excellent support from Portsmouth Football Club in the Great South Run. I’m moved and motivated by the children we grant wishes for.”
Round Table Children’s Wish is a national Charity, which grants wishes for children aged three to 17 who have a life-threatening illness.
Fundraising co-ordinator Julie Atherton said: “We’re delighted to welcome Helen to the team. Her hard work is already helping us fund more wishes.”
