Press Release Body: Simon’s Café, a new restaurant which offers fine dining in a
casual setting, has opened in New Jersey. Conveniently located in northern Bergen
County in Saddle River, the restaurant brings global New American cuisine to the
area.

Proprietors Carlo Orlando and Steve Andretta’s goal is to offer patrons a gourmet
meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Said Orlando, “Simon’s is a destination where people
can go to get a great meal without the stuffiness of a formal setting. You can put
on a pair of jeans, bring a bottle of your favorite wine and enjoy and unforgettable
meal.”

Based on seasonal fare, Simon’s dinner menu will change, under the direction of
Executive Chef Greg Stott. Winter starters include creamy polenta with a fricassees
of wild mushrooms with white truffle oil, house cured Asian gravlax with Asian pears
and crème fraiche-clilatro vinaigrette, and a roasted baby beet salad with panko
crusted goat cheese and arugula, drizzled with a red beet dressing.

Entrees feature a slow braised lamb shank with a hint of curry over cannelloni and
sausage cassoulet, pan seared Diver scallops with a butternut squash and applewood
smoked bacon risotto, and Long Island breast of duck with a blueberry green
peppercorn chutney, served with a potato gallette and Brussels sprouts.
Homemade delectable desserts include Meyer lemon cheesecake with a cherry confit,
flourless Valrhona chocolate and Kahlua torte with raspberry coulis, and Tahitian
vanilla flan with caramel sauce.

For lunch, diners can enjoy a savory selection of soups and quiche made daily by the
chef, as well as sumptuous sandwiches and salads. Favorites salads include Thai
chicken salad with mandarin oranges, crispy noodles and sesame ginger dressing,
grilled sesame tuna salad with asparagus and avocado with a wasabi dressing, and
Saddle River delight – a medley of mixed greens with chopped grilled chicken,
apples, cranberries and walnuts tossed with a homemade Italian drizzle.

Simon’s is available for private parties and also offers spectacular catering
selections for off-premise events.

Simon’s Café is located at 171 East Saddle River Road, Saddle River, New Jersey;
