Press Release Body: Following the dotcom boom of the early 2000s, during which founder and Managing Director Christian Arno started developing a website offering online translation services, mostly to customers in the UK, Lingo24’s first office was set up and started growing at a quick pace. The beginning of 2005 was a significant milestone — Arno headed towards Eastern Europe, to one of the largest emerging markets in the region, to recruit a young and dynamic team in Romania that would complement the group of language enthusiasts already working for him in the UK, New Zealand and China.
In March 2005, Lingo24 began developing operations in its Romanian office, in the city of Timisoara. With only five employees at the time, most of them managing translations projects, the small group of language fanatics brought a fresh and dynamic outlook to offering translation services internationally. Coming from the ethnically diverse region of Western Romania, some of them were natively bilingual and quickly adopted the multinational environment of Lingo24 as their home.
During the three years that followed, the Romanian team expanded rapidly and consistently. By far the most numerous of the company’s staff at the moment, its Romanian employees are set on helping international business customers with their translation projects, irrespective of the language or domain.
