So in one of my short conversation with her I pried out her maiden name to dig deeper in her past. I started making phone and address searches for her name.
I discovered that she barely attended celebrations with classmates and reunions with relatives during her college years. She seem to have few friends and no suitor in her high school, basing from her punctual presence and exits in classes. And in her elementary grades she has lived in a school dorm as she had no blood related guardian, just an older neighbor that paid for her tuition fee till she became a scholar.
These boring history made me even doubtful how four men wanted her with them for the rest of their lives. Then at last I finally searched her name in criminal records. I felt so guilty for prying when I discovers from a newspaper excerpt online she has been an abused child since she learned to walk until she turned seven and was able to run faster away from her uncaring family. This is apparently why she kept a low profile at school. It was just a sad coincidence that the good men she met have short lives. Or maybe it is destined so she could live fuller with my outgoing and positive father.
I admitted to her everything I did we got closer as I felt comfortable in opening my secrets to her as well.
