HPG Partner Beth Traynham Named to TBJ`s Top 25 Women in Business

RALEIGH, N.C. (August 11, 2008) – Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (HPG), the largest
locally owned and managed certified public accounting firm in the Triangle,
announces today Beth Traynham is the recipient of Triangle Business Journal’s 2008
Top 25 Women in Business Award.

“Beth is exemplary in her field because she understands the value of relationship
building,” says Kent Pittman, HPG partner and executive committee member. “Her
considerable investment of time and talent to enhance the lives of others is an
inspiration to us all.”

Traynham has served on numerous boards and executive committees including treasurer
for Make-A-Wish, board director for Artsplosure and, more currently, board and
finance committee member for Intrahealth, an international organization dedicated to
mobilizing local resources to create sustainable and accessible health care in
developing countries. Traynham also serves as treasurer and board member of the N.C.
Triangle Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. As a founding member of
Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women, she is the recipient of the Best Professional
Service Champion Award.

Traynham is a veteran CPA with areas of concentration including corporate and
individual tax, trusts, and estate and retirement planning. Her practice covers many
service-based businesses, notably venture capital, real estate and healthcare
providers. Identifying a need in the community, she also spearheaded adding divorce
planning/litigation support to HPG\'s offerings.
