Press Release Summary: The National Algae Association is the first algae trade
association in the world. Its mission is to fast track algae commercialization in
the US and around the world. The US needs to get off of foreign oil and become
energy independent. The algae industry is creating new green jobs and opportunities
for algae producers, researchers and students.

Due to its fast-growing nature, algae is quickly attracting interest and investment
in the United States and around the world. Algae is renewable, does not affect the
food channel and eats C02. It can be converted into fuels such as jet fuel,
biodiesel, ethanol, biogasoline and biomass that can be used in cosmetics,
pharmaceuticals, bio-plastics and organic fertilizer.
