Press Release Body: The Women of the ELCA at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in
Champaign are hosting their annual Apple Festival on Oct. 25. Homemade apple pies
and homemade baked goods are available to purchase.

Proceeds from the event fully fund the many local community service projects and
world wide support efforts of the group.

Apple pies are prepared ahead of time by members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Members young and old, male and female, work together pealing apples, filling pie
crusts and packaging the pies for freezing.

Pie Making dates (NOT open to public):
October 12, 1-3 p.m.
October 19, 1-3 p.m.

Apple Festival (open to public):
October 25, 8 a.m. - noon
