AsiaRooms.com - Bali's Kendra Gallery hosts Mindscape art exhibition

Industry: Travel

Visitors to Bali can view some thought-provoking art at the Mindscape exhibition that is being organised by the Kendra Gallery over the coming weeks.

The event, which began on December 28th 2011, showcases the work of Indonesian artist S Teddy D and runs until January 28th 2012, providing guests with a unique insight into the hallucinogenic and often disturbing world of the artist's mind.

Born in Padang in 1970, Teddy has had his work exhibited around the world and has claimed multiple awards, being named among the top five finalists at the Philip Morris Indonesian Art Awards in 2000.

Coming from a rough background of drink and drugs, his art reflects his perception of both the physical and metaphysical realities, as well as weighty themes of good and evil, life and death, and the power of God.

Those visiting the Kendra Gallery will find plenty of art to interest and challenge them, as the venue hosts works that explore all sides of Indonesian and international culture.

It has been open since June 2008 and works to help promote Bali as a centre for contemporary art.

A varied selection of Bali hotels can be found by art lovers at AsiaRooms.com, including the Jayakarta Bali.

More information about the exhibition can be found at www.kendragallery.com/.
